MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Athletic Department and head baseball coach Jon Seymour officially announced on Thursday, Mar. 17 that this weekend's scheduled three-game series against No. 19 William Carey University at Jacobs Field has been moved back one day due to inclement weather.
Originally, the series featuring the Rams and Crusaders was set to begin with one game on Friday night, Mar. 18, with an afternoon doubleheader scheduled for Saturday to conclude the series. However, severe weather forecasted for Friday in the Mobile, Ala. area has forced the conference series to start one day late.
Mobile will now host William Carey for an afternoon doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 19 to begin the series. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday. The series finale has been moved to Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. CT. All three games of the series will be broadcasted live at https://team1sports.com/umobilerams/.
Additionally, the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) announced that this weekend's series featuring Mobile and the 19th-ranked Crusaders has been tabbed as the SSAC Baseball Series of the Week.

- Mobile is 10-10 overall on the season and 1-5 in SSAC action, while the Crusaders are 16-7 overall and 3-3 in SSAC play.
- For Mobile, Blake Roberts is batting .436 with a .530 OBP and seven doubles, while Samuel Plash is slugging .703 with three home runs and 17 RBIs. On the mound, starter Stephen Poche' is 2-1 with a 1.53 ERA, while Haden Parker leads relievers from the bullpen with a 2.45 ERA in minimal of 10 innings pitched.
- For William Carey, RJ Stinson is hitting .475 with nine XBH, 24 RBIs and 20 runs, while Patrick Lee is hitting .424 with a .547 OBP and 22 runs scored. On the mound, AJ Stinson is 4-0 with 43 K's in 29 innings pitched.
- William Carey currently leads the series against Mobile with a 80-73-3 overall record.
- Mobile has claimed seven wins over the Crusaders in the two teams' last 10 matchups.
