UM Softball Program Announces Schedule Change Ahead of Weekend Conference Doubleheader

Rams Now Set for Thursday Night Doubleheader Against Brewton-Parker

MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Athletic Department and head softball coach Alison Sellers-Cook officially announced a schedule change to one of Mobile's two conference doubleheaders scheduled at the UM Softball Field this weekend due to inclement weather. That schedule change was made official on Wednesday evening, Mar. 9.

Originally, the UM Softball team was set to host the first conference series of the season on Friday, Mar. 11 with a doubleheader against Brewton-Parker College. However, weather forecasted for the weekend in the Mobile, Ala. area forced Sellers-Cook to make the call to bump the doubleheader up one day.

The updated schedule will now see Mobile host Brewton-Parker College on Thursday night, Mar. 10 at the UM Softball Field. Game one of the doubleheader is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT with game two to follow approximately 30 minutes following game one. The doubleheader against Brewton-Parker will be broadcasted live at https://team1sports.com/umobilerams/. As it stands right now, Saturday's scheduled doubleheader against Middle Georgia State on Mar. 12 is still on for 12:00 p.m. CT at the UM Softball Field. However as the week progresses, a change to the start times of Saturday's doubleheader is possible. To stay up to date with any schedule changes at the University of Mobile, check in periodically on all University of Mobile Athletics social media channels.

Mobile will enter the first conference series at home on Thursday with a perfect 16-0 overall record while ranking No. 8 in the latest NAIA Softball Top 25 Coaches' Poll. Brewton-Parker enters the Thursday doubleheader with a 11-7 overall record and is 2-4 on the road this year.
