Mobile v. Georgia Gwinnett on Tuesday Postponed

UM Softball Sees Another Postponement Due to Inclement Weather

MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Athletic Department and head softball coach Alison Sellers-Cook officially announced that Tuesday afternoon's home doubleheader versus Georgia Gwinnett College has been postponed due to inclement weather. The postponement is the second time this season that the Rams' home doubleheader versus the Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett as been postponed.

No. 6 Mobile was set to host No. 15 Georgia Gwinnett for two non-conference games at the UM Softball Field on Tuesday afternoon. However, severe weather is forecasted for the Mobile, Ala. area on Tuesday, Apr. 5, forcing Sellers-Cook to make the call to postpone the games. A makeup date has yet to be announced. The Rams swept Georgia Gwinnett in two games earlier in the season in Lawrenceville, Ga. on Feb. 19.


Mobile is currently 32-0 on the season and is now scheduled to face two conference opponents on the road on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 8-9 for two doubleheaders. The Rams will battle Brewton-Parker College at 12:00 p.m. CT on Friday in Mount Vernon, Ga. and Middle Georgia State University the following day at 11:00 a.m. CT in Macon, Ga.
