MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 23rd slate of 2022-23 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with the University of Mobile Baseball team's home series against Loyola University (La.) earning the title of SSAC Baseball Series of the Week. The three-game series is scheduled to begin on Friday, Mar. 24, with the series finale coming on Saturday, Mar. 25. Due to inclement weather forecasted for the Mobile, Ala. area over the weekend, the weekend schedule may be adjusted.
Mobile, ranked No. 8 in the latest NAIA Baseball Top 25 rankings, is set to meet No. 14 Loyola for the first and only time during the 2023 regular season, with a Friday afternoon game kicking off the series. Game one of the series is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT at Jacobs Field, with a doubleheader being scheduled for the following day at 1:00 p.m. CT. Entering this weekend's series, the Rams sit atop the current SSAC Baseball standings with a perfect 6-0 conference record and are 20-4 overall total on the season. For Loyola, the Wolf Pack have also claimed 20 wins, but have added nine losses. Loyola is 7-2 in SSAC action.

- Mobile and Loyola has split the last six meetings across the last two seasons, both earning three wins a piece.
- As a team, Mobile has tallied 224 total runs across 24 games this year, while hitting .352 as a unit and slugging .552.
- Leading the Rams has been newcomer Trevor Andrews, who is batting .446 and slugging .932 with 10 homers and 44 RBIs. Trevor Wells follows Andrews with a .405 batting average, slugging .738 with eight homers and 27 RBIs. On the mound, Tucker Musgrove has a tema-high five saves with a 1.50 ERA in six appearances.
- For the Wolf Pack, Cole Romero is hitting .333 with 12 XBH and 28 RBIs, while Brandon Mooney is batting .458 with a .555 OBP and 38 runs scored. On the mound, Stephen Still is 4-0 with 53 K's and a 1.91 ERA in 42.1 innings.
- In the all-time series between the two programs, Mobile controls the overall record with 105 total wins over Loyola and just 38 losses.
