Saturday Women's Soccer Match Named SSAC Women's Soccer Game of the Week

Mobile v. Thomas Earns SSAC Game of the Week Title

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The SSAC announced the second slate of 2023-24 SSAC Games of the Week, presented by Herff Jones, with the women's soccer match featuring the University of Mobile and Thomas University (Ga.) on Saturday earning recognition.

Women's Soccer: Saturday, Sept. 16 | 12:00 p.m. CT | Mobile at Thomas | Thomasville, Ga.
  • Mobile enters Saturday with a 4-2-1 overall record, while Thomas comes in with a 4-3 record.
  • The Rams opened SSAC play on Thursday with a 5-0 victory over Point University (Ga.) and Thomas dropped their conference opener to William Carey (Miss.).
  • For Thomas, Kaitlyn Herb leads with 19 points on seven goals and five assists and Sasha Manders has six goals and three assists
  • For Mobile, Izzabella Payne, Raegan Latiolais and Andi Hughes all lead the Rams with three goals a piece, while Juliana Gomez has 19 saves in goal, including 10 against No. 18 Truett McConnell.
  • Overall, Mobile leads the all-time series against Thomas with a 10-4-2 record.
