MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Women's Soccer program officially released the 2024 season schedule on Thursday, Aug. 1, with the season opener coming on Aug. 17 in Talladega, Ala. Additionally, Mobile will see action at home for the first time on Aug. 31 with a 5:00 p.m. CT matchup against LSU-Alexandria (La.). The Rams, led by 18th-year head coach Brian Person, finished last season with a 7-7-4 overall record.
Prior to the season-opening match against Talladega College (Ala.) on Aug. 17, Mobile is set for two scrimmage matches coming on Aug. 12 and Aug. 15. Mobile will face Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in a scrimmage on the 12th, following that with a big scrimmage against NCAA D-I's Alabama State University on the 17th in Pensacola, Fla. The Rams will then begin regular season action and are scheduled for 17 regular season matches during the 2024 campaign. A total of 11 of those regular season matches are conference games in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).
Mobile will begin the conference portion of the schedule on the road against Blue Mountain Christian (Miss.) on Sept. 19. One week later, the Rams return home to the Jungle on Sept. 26 for the first home conference match of the year against Brewton-Parker College (Ga.). Later, Mobile will end the regular season with a home match against rival William Carey (Miss.), the 2023 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Runner-Up, on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 5:00 p.m. CT.
