University of Mobile Softball Announces 2025 Season Schedule

2025 Season to Begin Feb. 7 for UM Softball

MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Mobile Softball program officially released the 2025 season schedule on Thursday, Jan. 9, with the Rams scheduled to begin the year at home with a single game against crosstown rival Spring Hill College (Ala.) at the UM Softball Field on Feb. 7. The team, led by eighth-year head coach Alison Sellers-Cook, saw the 2024 campaign end with a 30-16 overall record, just missing out on an automatic bid for the 2024 NAIA Softball National Championship Tournament. The 30-win season last year was Mobile's third-straight and sixth out of the last eight seasons.

Following the season opener against Spring Hill, Mobile will take on the Badgers for an additional game the following day on Feb. 8 at Spring Hill's field. The Rams will then play 14-straight home games from Feb. 12 - Mar. 5 before hosting the annual Gulf Coast Invitational (GCI) in Gulf Shores, Ala. from Mar. 7-9. The GCI Tournament is one of the largest regular season tournaments across the entire NAIA Division.

Conference play in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) will open Feb. 21 for Mobile, with the team hosting a doubleheader against rival William Carey (Miss.) at 2:00 p.m. CT. Overall, the Rams are scheduled for 48 dates during the regular season, with postseason action beginning on the first day of May. The 2025 SSAC Softball Championship Tournament is scheduled for May 1-3 in Decatur, Ala.
