Box Score METAIRIE, La. – The University of Mobile Women's Soccer team dropped to 1-1-0 on the season after falling 2-0 to the Xavier University (La.) Gold Nuggets in a Tuesday morning matchup on August 26.
The Rams, coming off a 2-0 win over LSU Alexandria in their opener, were unable to break through offensively despite generating opportunities. Mobile recorded five total shots, with Chelsea Moore and Natalie Burt each putting one on frame to test the Nuggets' keeper. Jil Hellerforth also registered a shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Sarah Polk anchored the Rams' defense with four saves on the day, while defenders Latifha Pascall and Bailey Bronner provided steady minutes in the back line.
The defeat marks Mobile's first loss of the young season, with the Rams now sitting at 1-1-0 overall.

Mobile heads to Thomasville, Ga., to compete in the Labor Day Tournament hosted by Thomas University. The Rams will face Ave Maria University on Friday, August 30, at 12:30 p.m. CT before taking on New College of Florida on Sunday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. CT.
